Connect Claude.ai

Add NameBeta to Claude as a custom connector. A connector added on claude.ai is also available in Claude Desktop, Cowork and the Claude mobile apps.

Before you start​

  • A NameBeta account. If you do not have one, the sign-in page lets you create one, and the first authorization sets up your NameBeta account automatically.
  • Any Claude plan. Free plans allow one custom connector.

Pro and Max plans​

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors.
  2. Click +, then Add custom connector.
  3. Enter a name such as NameBeta and the URL https://namebeta.com/api/mcp. Leave Advanced settings empty — NameBeta needs no OAuth client ID or secret.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Click Connect next to the new connector. A NameBeta sign-in page opens; sign in and approve access on the consent screen.

Team and Enterprise plans​

An Owner or Primary Owner adds the connector once for the organization:

  1. Open Organization settings → Connectors and click Add.
  2. Hover over Custom and choose Web.
  3. Enter the URL https://namebeta.com/api/mcp and click Add.

Each member then signs in with their own NameBeta account: open Customize → Connectors, find NameBeta, and click Connect. Every member's calls count against their own NameBeta plan.

Use it in a chat​

Click + in the lower left of the message box, choose Connectors, and switch NameBeta on for the conversation. Then ask in plain language:

Is kettlory.com available? If it is, which registrar is cheapest to renew?

Claude picks the tools itself — here check_availability and then compare_prices.

If it does not connect​

Claude connects to NameBeta from Anthropic's cloud, not from your computer, so local proxies and VPNs play no part. See Troubleshooting if the connector keeps asking you to sign in or reports an error.
